Groups work centers by the kind of work (mixing, cooking, packing, turning…) and how they produce. The system ships with 35 ready types across different industries.

| Name | Required | The type name, for example "Cooking" |
| Code | Required | A short code |
| Mode | Required | Discrete (piece by piece), Batch (a quantity at a time, like a tray in an oven) or Continuous. It affects the cost calculation |
| Unit | Required | The unit the center’s work is measured in, usually hour |
| Domain | Required | The industry, such as Food & Beverage |
| Description | Optional | A free note |
