Fields

| Type | Required | Basic, earning (added), deduction (taken off), contribution, net modifier |
| Account | Required | Basic and allowances → salaries expense; deductions → GOSI payable |
| Amount type | Required | Fixed, a percentage of another rule (e.g. 9% of basic), or an expression |
| Appears on payslip | Optional | Hidden rules are left off the payslip |
